Sing Me to Sleep by Angela Morrison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
After 11 freaking hours, just thinking about this book makes me wanna
cry again. The last few chapters still haunts me, my eyes are all
puffy from crying after reading.
When i started reading this one, i found beth an okay character, i
totally know how does it feels to be young and ugly and insecure with
all the jerks around you slapping the truth in you everyday, I myself
suffer from those (lots of pimples and jerks way back in highschool)
and I'm totally happy for her when she finds herself a cool guy in
derek. I just find beth uhm off sometimes, like i felt she sort of
became a different person after meeting derek (being kind of
aggressive and clingy).
I find their relationship and love for each other, at first way too
fast but then who am i to judge.
Derek was lovable and at the same time annoying for wanting to control beth about her choir and stuff, but we all know it's just because he wants nothing but what he thinks is the best for beth. I understand his decision of keeping beth in the dark about his condition and i kind of hate him for dying >.< yeah the selfish me i know it's inevitable, but gosh i wanted him to hang on and i was practically begging for some sort of miracle i wanted a HEA T.T
The last chapter was heartbreaking, the last time i cried like this was when i watched the movie hachiko. o,o i do have a mix reaction about beth in a way wanting scott.
This is one of those books that leaves me thinking, that makes me
appreciate my life more ( am i corny or what? :D).
