Short Book Review: Legal Affairs - Confessions of a Litigation God

Legal Affairs - Confessions of a Litigation GodLegal Affairs - Confessions of a Litigation God by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 4.5 of 5

WARNING, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK from Matt Connover, Litigation God: Please do not attempt to read my story in public, as my sexual proclivities have been known to cause squirming in your seat, squeezing of your legs together and unintentional moaning, sometimes with spontaneous bursts of laughter at random moments. If you are offended by the fact that my oral skills are just as accomplished in the bedroom as they are the courtroom, then this book is not for you. There may be moments while reading my story that you get so turned on… so hot and bothered… that your squirming and moaning could turn maniacal in nature and neither I, nor the author, are responsible for the weird looks you may get. Notwithstanding the aforementioned warnings, if you assume the risk and read my tale in public, then I recommend you carry a spare set of panties with you. You will need them and you have been warned.”

My name is Matt Connover. I am a Litigation God.
Other lawyers quake before me.
Women crawl on their knees just to spend the night in my bed and when I’m finished with them, I walk away without a backward glance.

I am well satisfied with my life and there isn’t a damn thing I’d change about it.

That is, until McKayla Dawson came along.

She was meant to be for one night only.
But she got under my skin, and now I want her back underneath my body.

It’s torture working with her in my law firm… day in and day out. But I have to think maybe the Fates have intervened to throw us together because she is unlike anyone I’ve ever known, and thus I need to pay careful attention to these Legal Affairs.

****
Confessions of a Litigation God is a stand alone, full length novel. It follows the affair of Matt Connover and McKayla Dawson as told in the Legal Affairs Serial Romance, Volumes 1-6. This book is told strictly from Matt's point of view and has many additional scenes not included in the serial volumes.

Review:

I haven't read any Legal Affairs books aside from this one but after reading this I know that I need and want to read those books asap!

This was a very HOT read!! I surely recommend this to all my hot-steamy-read loving friends of mine, I loved the characters. I'm in love with Matt fucking Connover and I badly want to be McKayla ! I'm going to re-read this for sure..I think like now because there is no such thing as too much Matt Connover.

This is a type of book that should be read when you are in the safety of your home with complete privacy..because you are definitely going to blush...alot.

All in all I loved this book, I enjoyed reading this, I'm in love with Matt ..and I'm going to start reading everything written by Sawyer Bennett.

Book Review Sworn to Conflict by Terah Edun

Sworn to Conflict (Courtlight #3)Sworn to Conflict by Terah Edun
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book Summary:

The latest release in the high fantasy series which has drawn comparisons to Kushiel's Dart, Graceling, and the epic world of Tamora Pierce.

Ciardis Weathervane fought for the living dead and won. But worse than taking on a mass murderer, was her discovery that she had been deceived by her friends. Now she needs to not only fight a war in the North and survive, but also decide where she stands in the midst of competing sides.

A threat to all she holds dear lies in the North and her heart is not the only thing she might lose. A massive army awaits in the mountain pass, surging closer to the gates of the southern lands. Nothing the Algardis army has done so far has dissuaded their march forward and Ciardis finds out that her powers to enhance are needed now more than ever.

As she faces her greatest fears on the battlefields and her heart is torn between her love of Sebastian and loyalty to her family, Ciardis must choose her fate carefully. For in her path, lies the destiny of the empire.

This third novel continues the story of Ciardis Weathervane from Sworn To Transfer.

Review:

This is a wonderful continuation of the Courtlight Series, the third but not the final book..but I wasn't disappointed, definitely not! because half way through the book secrets are being revealed and unexpected wonderful things are happening which causes me to panic because..nOooo! I won't survive a rush ending so I was happy to learn that there would be a forth book and mmm maybe a fifth book? no news yet..anyway I'm happy with how the story progresses and how Ciardis keeps on meeting and becoming friends with unique uhm creatures and people. Sebastian growing into a dependable leader and a partner to Ciardis..Gosh!! I'm loving the ever growing chemistry between Sebastian and Ciardis, oh! how I love their blossoming relationship and I can't wait to read and know what happens next?! The intrigue, the secrets and conflicts equals to a great and exciting read..I want the 4th book NOW!
